Curiosity, experimentation and instinct: three descriptions that best sum up Federico Bevilacqua’s approach to photography. In his photographs, the immediacy of images captured as if by chance while walking along the street is juxtaposed with the punctilious technical precision of his studio works, the stylistic solutions adopted making the experience of viewing his pictures all the more energised and interesting.

A native of Vicenza, Bevilacqua was born in 1971 and has been working actively in the field of photography for over 25 years. His training came at the hands of a number of eminent figures, with courses and workshops led by Fontana, Jodice, Berengo Gardin and Scianna. More recently, he has had the opportunity to perfect his skills under the guidance of the Israeli-American master Michael Ackerman.

Technically versatile, he is equally at home with reportage, street photography, portraits and nudes and does not shy away from social and humanitarian themes.

He was previously president of Vicenza’s Il punto focale photography society, stepping down last year.

Exhibition curated by Andrea Zaccarelli.

On display until 11 May 2017.
