Thursday 26 January 2017 PAINTING 5.30 pm – free admission

Portraits and self-portraits, the face as a physical space across which thoughts, emotions and memories may flow: a space to be crossed with a colour capable of blurring lines and features, making them disappear even, in search of the secret mobility of sentiment, an interiority transmitted in the vagueness of art made of tangible colour that is capable of creating suggestive atmospheres and impalpable emotions. An artist who has always explored the human face and figure, Elisabetta Pes was born in Treviso. After a year studying art in Florence, she moved to Amsterdam. In 2011 she arrived in Venice, where she is about to graduate from the city’s own Academy of Fine Arts. She lives and works in Venice.

Exhibition curated by Emanuele Horodniceanu.

On display until 9 February.
